Proposta de espaço híbrido temático para a cultura pop em Natal-RN

Abstract

Living in a city as Natal – Rio Grande do Norte, which offers few or none incentive to pedestrian traffic brought a desire to create a punctual project, in the allotment scale, but with positive impact in the urban quality of its most immediate surroundings. To such end, it was required a thematic with a huge impact in society, a good consuming public and mainly continuous relevance. The answer to such points is Popular Culture. Pop Culture can be understood as an amalgam which reflects the consumer tastes in a wide and constantly changing sampling of artistic and cultural manifestations, a gathering of everything culturally relevant in society in a given time frame. To house such ephemerous thematic it felt necessary to use an architectonic product that accepts the plurality of users and uses e this was found in Hybrid Architecture. Hybridism in architecture has the characteristic to answer the needs of society and time in which it is inserted, fitting the city urban environment. This point alone, makes its exponents strong candidates to key structures to create better cities. The diversity of uses in buildings of this kind also welcomes more compact cities and allows, in a natural way, the insertion of elements which improves the urban quality e the needs of the thematic space proposed in this work.
