Abstract

Monitoring an automatic industrial process is a complex task, however it can become worse in moments when abnormalities occur and manual intervention becomes necessary. To make this process simpler as possible the industry search routinely reach optimal alarms setting that offers more security to overall health of the industry. In practice, the industries configure their alarms without a appropriate methodology resulting in settings with problematics alarms that reduce the process efficiency and increase the risks to personnel, financial and environmental safety. Considering the relevance of the problem, this work aims to develop and apply the correlation in industrial alarms variable alarms enabling the identification of problematics profiles such that the alarm configurations can be effectively simplified.
