Ensino de língua portuguesa e variação linguística: uma proposta de intervenção com o gênero cordel

Abstract

This research study promotes a reflection about the Teaching of Portuguese Language through an investigation concerning the linguistic varieties in the school context. Therefore, the study presents a proposal of pedagogical intervention for students of the 9th grade of a public elementary school in Nova Floresta / PB, considering that the purpose of teaching Portuguese Language is to develop the linguistic competence of the students and allow that they know the linguistic varieties. Thus, after an initial investigation with students and teachers, we point out some ways to minimize the problem through systematized activities in the form of Didactic Sequences, using as teaching resources the objects of teaching of the Portuguese Language (textual genres diverse), with focus in the cordel genre. Therefore, we had as general objective to investigate the treatment of linguistic variation in Portuguese Language classes and in a more specific way to identify linguistic aspects in the cordel genre in order to promote the appreciation of linguistic diversity, besides analyzing how the uses of the multiple linguistic variations can help in the resignification of the linguistic prejudice. To reach this goal, we use the guidelines of the National Curriculum Parameters (1997, 1998). The theories by Preti (1974); Bakhtin (1997, 2011), Bagno (1997, 1999, 2002, 2007); Mollica (2012) Bortoni-Ricardo (2004, 2005); Antunes (2012), Dolz; Noverraz; Schneuwly (2004), Cagliari (2001), among others, also have been utilized. The methodology used to reach the goals was the analysis of an action research and study of differentiated genres approaching the multiplicity of the language with focus in the cordel from a didactic sequence, highlighting its richness of content, originality and playfulness. The results showed that the intervention proposal was a successful didactic experience, since it provided the students moments of reflection and meaningful learning about the uses of the Mother Language, favoring changes in the understanding of linguistic variables as a manifestation of the diversity of language, besides to have opportunized the resignification of the linguistic prejudice.
