Translation: Manual for the Implementation of the Human Library This Volume 2 of the Manual for the Implementation of the Human Library at the Câmara Cascudo State Library continues the work initiated in the first edition, deepening and expanding the understanding of the planning, execution, and evaluation process of this cultural mediation service. While Volume 1 presented the conceptual foundations, the initial organizational stages, and the results of the pilot experience, this new volume brings together the methodological improvements, revised strategies, and updated procedures that emerged from the project's ongoing practice. Produced by students of the courses "Information and Reference Services" and "Information User Studies"—both taught by Professor Ilaydiany Cristina Oliveira da Silva within the Library Science program at UFRN—this volume systematizes the operational stages developed during the project's second edition. It documents everything from the selection of themes (defined collectively by participants of the previous edition) to the development of execution, communication, and logistics plans. It serves as a detailed record that highlights the technical and reflective growth of the teams involved, revealing the maturity acquired in managing outreach actions, articulating with partner institutions, and conducting information services geared toward the community. By presenting procedures, challenges faced, strategic decisions, evaluation instruments, and developed products, this volume reaffirms the Human Library as a space for dialogue, active listening, and social transformation. Likewise, it demonstrates the capacity of Library Science to produce innovative services that are sensitive to contemporary demands and committed to valuing the human narratives that make up the social fabric. Thus, Volume 2 does not merely continue the journey started previously; it deepens it, consolidating a complete manual for the replication and strengthening of the proposalArticle Tratamento do texto jornalístico escrito à luz da análise documentária: o caso do resumo(2009) Medeiros, RildeciArticle O cenário informacional acerca da Chikungunya no Brasil a partir de uma perspectiva webmétrica(2025-08-23) Silva, Ilaydiany Cristina Oliveira da; Mendonça, Geanny Beatriz da Cruz; Medeiros, Iuryanne Pereira de; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3171-7878; https://orcid.org/0009-0001-3554-453X; https://orcid.org/0009-0006-6360-6247Introduction: This study analyzes the informational landscape regarding Chikungunya in Brazil from a webometric perspective. The disease, transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, causes periodic outbreaks with public health impacts, such as fever and joint pain. Examining news and online searches can help identify information patterns and improve communication and prevention strategies. Objective: to identify information levels about Chikungunya in response to occasional outbreaks of the disease, through the analysis of reported cases, media coverage, and searches conducted by the public on the Google platform between 2018 and 2022. Methodology: an applied study combining descriptive, exploratory, and explanatory research, using webometrics to analyze the informational scenario about the disease in Brazil. Data were collected through Google Trends, TabNet, and Facepager platforms. The data were organized in an Excel spreadsheet, using the epidemiological weeks established by the Ministry of Health as a parameter for data organization and distribution. Results: a significant relationship was observed between online searches and reported cases, suggesting that the population seeks information prior to seeking medical assistance. Conclusion: the importance of monitoring and understanding trends and behavioral patterns regarding Chikungunya over time is emphasized, aiming at the development of effective prevention and control strategies for the disease.Book chapter A biblioteca Professora Etelvina Lima. Objective:Analyze the national scientific production on cataloging over the past five years (2020–2024).Methodology: This study adopts a bibliographic, exploratory, and descriptive research methodology with a qualitative approach, based on a review of scientific publications available in the Base de Dados de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação (BRAPCI), focusing on the period from 2020 to 2024.Results: As a result of the search, 117 scientific publications on the topic were mapped. These were categorized into five thematic approaches: teaching of cataloging; cataloging of different informational resources (texts, images, audio, video); new trends in cataloging in the context of the semantic web and linked data; historical and conceptual aspects of cataloging; and formats and standards for cataloging practices. Conclusion: The study highlights the need to investigate the relationship between cataloging and new digital tools and systems, aiming to improve management performance and support services provided by information professionals, with a focus on meeting the demands of the current informational, technological, and market contextArticle Panorama das produções científicas nacionais sobre indexação: tendências e enfoques nos últimos anos(Biblionline, 2025-07-29) Machado, Beatriz Pereira Meirelles; Santos, Raimunda Fernandes dos; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7750-3269Studies aspects related to indexing in Brazilian scientific production. The objective is to understand how indexing has been discussed in national scientific production over the past five years, analyzing the main trends and thematic approaches identified in the research. The methodology used is bibliographic, exploratory, descriptive, with a qualitative approach, based on a search conducted in three sources: the Brazilian Database of Journal Articles in Information Science (BRAPCI), the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciElo), and the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), with a temporal cut-off from 2020 to 2024. The research retrieved 244 (two hundred and forty-four) results, of which 107 (one hundred and seven) were discarded for not fitting the scope of the research, resulting in a final selection of 137 (one hundred and thirty-seven) works. The analysis of the obtained results shows that the topic is still discussed in different contexts and from various perspectives, encompassing the interdisciplinary aspect of Information Science, and, most importantly, highlighting the importance of indexing in the processes of organization, representation, and findability of information in the face of sociocultural, technological, and informational demandsArticle Universidade, ditadura e reparação: o percurso da comissão da verdade da UFRN(Informação Arquivística, 2025-08-06) Barbosa Neto, Pedro Alves; Macêdo, Patrícia Ladeira Penna; Cunha, Jacqueline de Araújo; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-4741-5735; https://orcid.org/0009-0003-8215-3763; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1058-4260It analyzes the trajectory of the UFRN Truth Commission, focusing on the general recommendations of its Final Report.
