HIV/Aids na população jovem da Paraíba: Intervenção nas regiões de saúde mais afetadas.

Abstract

Controlling HIV / AIDS infection continues to be a public health challenge and involves several areas of knowledge, such as human rights, quality of life, drug policies, industrial property, diversity, among others. HIV / AIDS infection is a phenomenon whose occurrence has an impact on moral, religious and ethical principles, and is associated with issues related to sexuality, drug use and marital morality. The onset of the epidemic was directly associated with male homosexuals, injecting drug users and sex workers. But in recent years, the young population has been plagued by increased reporting. This project aims to promote early prevention and diagnostic actions in health regions with higher HIV and AIDS rates in young people in the State of Paraíba. The study will be carried out initially with the database of the State Health Secretariat of Paraíba. We will use the secondary data from the case records in the SINAN (National Notification and Injury Information System) and later we will be offering qualification workshops to the health and education workers of the Health Regions who have the highest number of cases of HIV and AIDS in the young population . They hope that through the characterization of the epidemiological profile and subsequent intervention with health and education workers, this project may contribute to the improvement of public policies on HIV / AIDS among young people. As well as to provide subsidies for municipal public administrations in order to plan actions for health promotion and HIV / AIDS prevention, according to the specificities of each population group in the state of Paraíba. AIDS infection in the young population of the State presents oscillations in its evolution, with a tendency to increase in the incidence rates of infection for the virus in the macroregions of the state in recent years, thus, it is necessary to qualify actions in prevention of STIs among health and education workers and also the population young.
