| dc.description.abstract | This work is the result of a literature review and also the account of a successful experience of a teacher who, on the border of Paraíba, can, through the teaching of geometry, stimulate your students for the approval in the brazilian mathematical olympiad – OBMEP. Based on the thought of authors such as Struik (1989), Boyer (2003) and Smole (2007), among others, did a walk through mathematics through the ages, questioned the teaching and learning of mathematics in the elementary school, discussed the importance of geometry and, finally, a success story of elementary students with the math teacher, Alves Ferreira Jonilda municipal school Cândido de Assis Queiroga in Paulista – PB, proving that if there is stimulus, there is reward. | pr_BR |
| dc.description.resumo | Este trabalho é o resultado de uma revisão bibliográfica e, também, o relato de uma experiência de sucesso de uma professora que, no sertão da Paraíba, consegue, por meio do ensino de geometria, estimular seus alunos para a aprovação nas olimpíadas brasileiras de matemática – OBMEP. Baseando-se no pensamento de autores como Struik (1989), Boyer (2003) e Smole (2007), dentre outros, fez-se um passeio pela matemática através dos tempos, questionou-se o ensino e a aprendizagem de matemática no ensino fundamental, discutiu-se a importância da geometria e, por último, observou-se uma história de sucesso de alunos do ensino fundamental com a professora de matemática, Jonilda Alves Ferreira, na escola municipal Cândido de Assis Queiroga, em Paulista – PB, comprovando-se que, se há estímulo, há recompensa. | pr_BR |
