ENTRE PALCOS E SALAS DE AULA: O SURGIMENTO DO SIMPÓSIO NACIONAL DE TEATRO INFANTOJUVENIL E O DESPERTAR DE UMA PROFESSORA-ARTISTA

Abstract

This end-of-course work is an academic memoir that portrays the events that took place in my life from childhood to graduation and led me to significant experiences in the process of becoming a teacher-artist. In a qualitative way, as part of my trajectory, through documentary analysis, interviews and observations, I make a diagnosis about the creation and development of the National Symposium of Children's Theatre at UFRN, of which I have been part of the organizing committee since the first edition. The research aims to analyze the four editions of the Symposium, as well as the interface between the academic experience and the pedagogical practices carried out during the Supervised Internships for teacher training and my participation in the Pedagogical Residency Program. Both actions play an important role in the education of children and teenagers in the municipality of Natal, as they offer a first contact with the theatrical language, fostering artistic-pedagogical actions in the school context. These experiences have made a significant contribution to the development of children's theater at the university, broadening the vision of students and teachers in order to provide contact with artistic and pedagogical practices in this context and dialogue with various teachers, researchers and art and culture makers from all over Brazil.
