Análise das condições das igrejas que compõem o roteiro natal sagrado histórico

Abstract

Recognizing the importance of diversified touristic itineraries for the destination Natal - RN, this article focuses on religious and historical-cultural tourism and wants analyze the conditions of the churches belonging to the "Natal Sacred and Historic" Roadmap for the care of national and international tourists. To achieve this objective, it was fundamental to: contextualize historically the churches that are part of the script; verify the infrastructure of the spaces that make up the Road Map; and know the superstructure offered during the visits. For that, a bibliographical and documentary research was used, followed by application of checklist with 20 items (10 questions focused on infrastructure and 10 focused on superstructure-management-service). As a result of the research, it is worth noting that temples need to be adapted to the tourist standard with regard to a service of preventive maintenance of their structures, improvement of environmental conditions and signaling. When referring to attendance, it is mainly noticed the lack of wearing of uniforms and identification and the knowledge of another language by the instructors. It is concluded that it was an interesting initiative to create the road map under analysis, but it is considered necessary and urgent to adapt the structure and management of the 7 churches to meet the tourist demand.
