Uso assertivo do visual law: uma análise da sua interseção com a linguagem simples

Abstract

It is essential to understand the current context of legal communication and access to justice, which serve as a basis for the analysis of emerging tools, such as visual law and plain language. In this context, this study started from the following issue: whether visual law achieves the maximization of its purpose with the use of plain language. To this end, the following specific objectives were outlined: i) to understand the importance of the use of visual law in legal communication and in the context of access to information; ii) to understand the concept and importance of the two tools: visual law and plain language; iii) to understand the intersection between the tools as an element of maximizing the purpose of visual law. To achieve these objectives, a narrative literature review was adopted as the research methodology, with the result that the strategic integration of visual law with plain language enhances the effectiveness of legal communication, making it more inclusive and democratic, reflecting in the assertive use of visual law.
