Investimento Financeiro: uma análise no nível de conhecimento e das escolhas dos alunos do curso de Ciências Contábeis da UFRN

Abstract

This study aims to investigate whether the level of knowledge in financial investment has an influence on the choices of investment products by students of the accounting sciences course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. For this, a descriptive research was developed, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, the sample was by accessibility, being composed of 59 students. Data were collected through a questionnaire, applied online. Based on the responses, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and Pearson's chi-square tests. The results show that the level of knowledge has an influence on the amount of investments chosen by the students when they apply their resources, with the savings account being the only investment that does not depend on the knowledge to be chosen, it was identified that the investor profile and income are also influencing factors in investment choices. The three best-known investment products chosen by students were the savings account, CDB and shares.
